Speed limits when towing a trailer or caravan

You get in the car as usual, and you forget one thing: behind you, everything has changed. Towing alters how you drive and, sometimes, your speed limits. Best to know them before the first mile.

The principle

Depending on the outfit weight and the country, specific limits apply, often lower than for a car alone, especially on dual carriageways and motorways. Above a certain weight a speed disc or sticker on the rear may be required.

The right habit
