The pre-trip checklist before towing

Most towing trouble is decided before you set off. This quick checklist takes two minutes.

Hitch and load

Ball locked with the indicator green, breakaway cable or chain attached, electrics plugged in. Load secured, noseweight correct, nothing protruding.

Before you drive

Lights and indicators tested both sides, car and trailer tyre pressures set for the load, extension mirrors adjusted. Above all, the outfit must not exceed the towing capacity: check on the Renault Kadjar page or via the 1,000 kg ranking.
